Card Shuffling Machine

If you like playing cards then you'll need to know how to shuffle cards well. This process is a beautiful show if you master shuffling or a boring routine if you don't. In our days, when all the boring and routine work we are trying to give to machines, they can also do this task. This gadget will help you if you are too unskilled to shuffle beautifully or too lazy to shuffle at all or if you want to be sure that the shuffler doesn't cheat.

Card Shuffler will be your ultimate helper during those long poker games. It will shuffle your card deck in seconds, just with a press of a button. You can shuffle up to two decks at a time; there are two slots for them at each side of the device. This method of shuffling is suspicious-free - no one will blame you for wrong or cheated shuffling, because the machine does all for you. When you are inviting friends for a bridge evening, they will be surely amazed by this interesting machine. This small shuffler will not take much space on the table, and will provide a great help for your card sessions. It is also can be used for card fortunetelling, if you practice such things - after a few seconds there will be a perfectly shuffled card deck which can tell you whether you will be successful at that new job interview or not... wait you got to shuffle the cards yourself in those cases.

This gadget is a good gift for a card player or gadget lover, because it simplifies the process of shuffling and makes the play more enjoyable. No need to learn how to shuffle perfectly, now all is done by a small device, which is powered by four AA batteries. This shuffler will cost you nearly 20 dollars.

Attach your phone to the wall

No one likes all these telephone wires that are everywhere. At the same time everyone is in the habit of pacing the floor with a telephone receiver in his/her hand. That's why a lot of different wireless phones where designed. Yet, the fact that they are wireless means that sometimes you have to recharge the receiver.

A new concept that will help to solve this problem appeared. Both telephone receiver and charger have no wires. Moreover the charger is very compact. So, in order to charge it you just have to insert the charger into the wall outlet and attach the receiver, which has a big hole in the center. Thus, the charger that has a lot of light-emitting diodes on it serves as a receiver holder too. LEDs will help you to find it easily in the dark. Design of this gadget can be considered as its significant advantage, because it's really very stylish and looks more like a high-end cell phone.

However, frankly speaking, this concept can not be regarded as something extremely original, because it does not perform any unusual functions. So, most likely it will attract people's attention just because of its interesting and stylish design.

A water tree - water filter

Everybody knows that pure water is extremely important for the health. This contributes a lot to the designing of various devices used to purify the water. Something of this type has been created by Korean designers who never run out of ideas. Their new invention is a kind of filter that differs a lot from its boring counterparts.

This new gadget was given a 'Water tree' name. To understand better the principle idea of the concept imagine a pendent lamp over your dining room table. This lamp represents a tree that has fruits. But the 'fruits' of this lamp are strange enough because they hold water. Moreover it's not usual water but a filtered one. That's the Water tree concept. Thus this gadget will help you not to leave the dining table when thirsty. All you have to do is to reach up and pull one of the 'fruits'. Just remember that blue ones are filled with cold water and red ones with hot. And don't forget to put them back to get a refill. Of course after some time you will need to replace your filter. To do so you have to always pay attention to the color of changing fruit. If they are grey, then obviously it's time.

It would be great if there was information about the volume of these fruits and the size of the tree itself. I hope it's not as big as a real one. In fact it's just a concept now but an outstanding one. I've never seen such a clever attempt to combine something natural with artificial.

The simplest MP3 player?

It's not a secret that some people like things to be simple. Because of this a lot of different simple devices were designed lately. Of course they are not as multifunctional as their counterparts, but are much cheaper and smaller. Bomi Kim following this trend has recently designed the simplest MP3 player.

His gadget doesn't have even a name. It's just referred to as the "Tactile MP3 player". Why tactile? Simply because the 5 basic controls necessary to master your music are something like Braille, i.e. a system of writing for the blind consisting of raised dots that can be interpreted by touch. Thus, the main idea of this concept consists in the fact that you can control your music by simple touches. Given gadget is so small that it looks more like a usual button, so at first sight hardly someone would be able to understand that it's a MP3 player. Device has a pretty slick exterior that resembles a dollop of shiny mercury. It has a single jack plug that is used both for headphones and USB cable as well. As for the price of this concept it's not available yet, but it will be a moderate one, for sure.

To sum up this gadget represents quite a decent combination of simplicity and originality. As regards its disadvantages I wouldn't say that there are some, except the lack of functionality. Moreover, those who decide to purchase this device will probably take this disadvantage for granted.

Collapsible surfboard

There is quite an obvious tendency to make small and portable things. Apartments and cars, everything becomes compact. As a consequence, it seems that your surfboard occupies more and more space. Maybe it's possible to decrease somehow its size? Nicholas Notara who has decided to devote some time to the problem thinks that there is a way to do so.

Created gadget represents a collapsible surfboard. This carbon fiber board has been carefully designed to maintain the balance and weight of its traditional counterpart, but with the help of two pins and a quick release lever can be twice decreased in size. Moreover there is a significant variety of fins that can both help you change board's appearance and improve its manageability. In spite of the fact that this board is a collapsible one, it's notable for its durability.

Thus, I think that given gadget can be considered as a viable concept that may make a surfboard purchase not such a bad idea. Furthermore many surfers will like its stylish design with something aggressive in it.

Chute - natural smartphone

Everybody has already get accustomed to the fact that almost all modern devices are made of metal, plastic and glass. These materials are considered to be synonyms of the "high-tech" word because they help devices to look stylish and up-to-date. In spite of this some people think that such devices are too cold and stark, and as a consequence, want them to be warm and natural. Taking into consideration this fact Michael Laut decided to create a natural smartphone.

His gadget named the Chute smartphone represents an outstanding attempt of combining natural materials and modern technologies. Thus, in addition to the fact that given concept is quite a powerful and functional one, like any other ordinary smartphone, its shell is made of bamboo, a high sustainable resource. It's a well-known fact that bamboo is much lighter and stronger than plastic. Moreover it's totally biodegradable and far more Earth friendly in its production than plastics and metals. So it seems that hardly an environmentalist would have something against this gadget.

On the other hand it should be mentioned that some customers would probably be slightly disappointed with its characteristics as they are quite ordinary ones. However the distinctive feature of this device will make it competitive enough.

Virtual keyboard idea from Nokia

Nowadays a great amount of people type something. It's not important whether it's a poem, essay, SMS or something else. Some type using their PC keyboard, others use that of their cell phones. Because of this both producers and designers try to make this process simpler by inventing various types of keyboards (for example, wireless small keyboard featuring Bluetooth).

Nokia as many others trying to invent something absolutely new and different has just filled a patent application known as "Mobile device with virtual keyboard". We can guess as much from there that the digital camera located at the back of the cell phone is used to capture the movement and position of the user's fingers, projecting them onto a virtual keyboard which is shown on the phone's display in real time.

It sounds really interesting but it's not the fact that it will be easier to type on such a virtual keyboard than on a usual one. Moreover, I think that such an application will make your cell phone's battery drained in no time, and the camera wouldn't be fast enough to capture the image of a speed typist. Another significant problem consists in the fact that there would probably be some limitations in cell phone designs as the cameras can only be placed at a certain place on the handset in order for it to work nicely.

Exclusive Vertu

At the moment many companies, focusing on the customers' needs, produce a great variety of different exclusive cell phones, which are very original and expensive. Their price varies from some thousands to million USD or even more. Yet, despite their expensiveness quite a significant amount of people buy these devices because possessing of such a unique thing emphasizes both their well-being and individuality.

Recently Vertu company that represents an affiliated undertaking of Nokia Corporation started to sell its new cell phone. Ascent Ti gadget works at 3G and four types of GSM. It has a digital camera of 3 megapixels and is made of titanium, leather and sapphire. But the main distinctive feature is an exclusive function of this cell phone. In case there is a need Ascent Ti owner can save any kind of information at the remote server. To do so he/she has just to choose the data for transmission.

All the information will be kept in a special secure place. So, if there is a necessity customer can easily restore the data. New product will be sold at quite a moderate price - 00. Actually it's not so cheap, but in comparison with the previous Vertu models - 88 and 130 thousand of US dollars, respectively - this price can be considered as a reasonable one. As far as the design of this gadget is concerned it will fit business people perfectly.

Thus, given device represents an outstanding attempt of combining quality, exclusiveness and accessibility. However, this Vertu model still remains unattainable for middle class customers.

USB mini digital camera

At present there is a great deal of different digital cameras that can easily meet any wishes. Quite a significant amount of them have as many functions as possible. But sometimes people want to possess something simpler and smaller, because often they don't need to make photos that look like professional ones.

Imagine a tiny USB camera with no viewfinder, no LCD screen, and no buttons except one. Such a camera was designed by Sungwoo Park who decided to exclude all the functions except the main one. This gadget represents a mini USB digital camera that combines the feeling of not knowing how your shots turned out with the ease of USB transfer.

Thus, in comparison with usual digital cameras and cell phones no additional cables, card readers and so on are required. You just insert your camera into USB port. As regards the size of this concept it's almost the same as that of a usual USB flash drive. Despite the fact that no information is given about the quality of the pictures taken by this camera we can conclude that it's quite poor. It's hardly possible to supply such a small device with all the elements that enable taking high quality pictures.

Taking into consideration all the facts mentioned above it should be emphasized that this gadget helps to make the process of photographing easier. Yet the only buyers of such USB digital cameras will be people who like compact things and do not need professional photos.

Extremely stylish USB flash drive

Nowadays the fact that an USB flash drive has very high data transfer rate is not enough to make customers buy it. In case producers want their products to be sold, something really special that can attract attention should be designed. Moreover the demand for an USB will be increased if it performs not just a single function.

Gresso company, which generally produces exclusive cell phones and mp3 players, took into consideration both of these points. So, its new gadget represents a well-designed USB flash drive and serves not just as data storage but as an adornment as well. There are three different types of this concept: in the form of an apple, of a cross and a classic rectangular form. Devices, which are made of wood, are decorated with 14-carat gold and Swarovski crystals. However, if you want to store a lot of information on this gadget you will hardly be able to do so, because its maximum memory size is just 1GB. Despite small capacity of this concept its price will varies from 100 to 1000 US dollars. Probably it will depend on the amount of gold and diamonds that decorate one or another device.

Thus, Gresso company again succeeded in designing something unusual and original. Given gadget most likely will be very popular among young people, because it can help them to add something really new to their style. Yet price and memory size of this USB leave much to be desired.

An "edible" message

Sometimes we feel the necessity to leave a message to the members of our family in order to remind about something, give some instructions or just say endearing words. In such situations everybody finds different solution: some use just a sheet of paper and put it on the place where it can be easily seen, others buy special tables, which are generally attached to refrigerators or walls, and etc.

Yet, a new method, which helps to make your message more original, has been recently found. The given gadget is designed to write messages on toasts. Quite an unusual message, isn't it? Moreover, the process of writing itself becomes more pleasant and interesting. The only thing you have to do is to take a special pen and to write on the toaster whatever you want. After that your message will be printed on the toast. That's it.

Thus, this gadget can be considered as a very useful one, because you prepare food and write messages at the same time. Besides that, children will love it for sure. It will be a sort of amusement for them. However, it should be mentioned that the size of the message is very limited, preventing you from writing "poems". Though, it can be used for fun.

Teclast T50 PMP

At present many people prefer portable media players like MP4 players to MP3 players because they allow you not to just listen to the music but watch clips and movies as well. The variety of them is no smaller than that of MP3 players, so new models, performing even more functions, appear everyday. Another novelty of this kind Teclast T50 has been just designed.

The Teclast T50 portable media player might not have arrived on the scene with a bang, unlike those well-known iPods, but this model sure adds something that the majority of its competitors do not have at the moment - a capacitive multitouch display. Unfortunately, the only available information about the T50 includes the aforementioned display, RVVB, FLV and dual independent audio processors. But it's quite enough to form a general idea of the gadget that seems to be very competitive. As regards the design of the concept I think that it looks great. The main reason for this consists in the fact that due to the touch-sensitive screen given device has just a single button and a big display.

Thus, this gadget looks like one of those easy-to-operate devices, from using which you derive a great enjoyment. Yet the lack of the information gives no opportunity to form a clear picture of this concept. But soon you will be able to find everything out, in case it arrives to the USA and Europe.

A Galaxy In The Palm Of Your Hand

Galaxy

By Evan Ackerman

We’ve taken some totally sweet pictures of other galaxies, but it’s kinda hard to get a decent image of our own Milky Way… There’s just no good place to stand and point the camera. This 12cm glass cube contains a pint sized model of our home galaxy. It’s not just an abstract rendering; there are 80,000 individual points, representing the relative positions of 80,000 real stars, based on data from Japan’s National Astronomical Observatory.

Galaxy

According to Monty Python’s Galaxy Song, our galaxy contains a hundred billion stars, which is a far cry from the mere eighty thousand represented here. On the upside, this model will set you back 1 yen (just under a penny) per star, so if it was more accurate, you’d be paying upwards of a billion dollars instead of the $800 or so it actually costs. Oh, and before you start complaining that the galaxy is off center, this model is geocentric: Earth is in the middle. Yep, we’re kinda off in the middle of nowhere. Humbling, huh?

Warm Up One Hand With An Infrared Heated Mouse

Infrared Mouse

By Luke Anderson

I’ve worked in a couple of different places where everyone seems to think that we work better when we’re freezing. Perhaps they think that merely by typing faster that we can warm our hands up, which would increase productivity. Thankfully these days I’m the one that controls the thermostat, so I keep it as warm as I like. However, for those of you that need a little something extra to keep you warm, you might look into this USB Infrared Warmer Mouse.

This mouse will keep your hand plenty warm, just plug it into your USB port and switch it on. The device will heat up to between 40-45°C (104-113°F), which should be enough to keep you warm. Just grab a cup of warm coffee with the other hand and you’re good to go.

Bike Cuffs Look Cool, Keep Your Bike Safe

Bike Cuffs

By Luke Anderson

I’ve never really had a bike that was worth a lot of money. Sure, they were nice enough for me to not be embarrassed when I rode them around, but nothing fancy. Plus my hometown was rather small, and rarely did you hear of anyone’s bike getting stolen, so I never bothered to lock mine up when I rode it around. However, these days I live in a much different place, and I’d definitely lock a bike up anywhere I went. If I had my choice, I’d probably use a pair of these Bike Cuffs.

As you may have noticed, these look a rather lot like handcuffs with a bike chain between them. They are made from hardened laminated steel and feature a drill-proof locking system. Aside from looking cool and being quite secure, these would likely be easier to carry around then some of the other secure solutions I’ve seen. They’re a bit pricey (more expensive than any bike I’ve owned) at around $160.

Open Your Beer Like A True Geek

Flash Drive Bottle Opener
By Luke Anderson

How many times have you reached for a cold one only to realize that you’ve got no bottle opener? You could try using your teeth, but if you’re very fond of them, I don’t recommend it. My suggestion is to bust out your 8GB flash drive and pop the cap like a real man.

We’ve seen other such devices before, but never one so sleek looking. Now if only we had some details on pricing and availability.

iPhone vs. Samsung F700: What is better?

iPhone has been announced a few weeks ago and a lot of people were waiting for it to appear. It is one of the best smart phones in its class. However, there is another smart phone that is on the same level as the iPhone. Samsung F700 was announced later then the iPhone however it beats iPhone in several characteristics. Samsung phones become better and better every day and the iPhone is almost the best phone in the world. These phones could be called gadgets because they are top leaders in cell phones industry.

It is very hard to compare and choose one of these phones if you want to buy a smart phone of that level. We will try to help you with that.

Which touchscreen is better?

The size of the iPhone's touchscreen is bigger then the Samsung's one and it measures 3.5 inches as opposed to Samsung's 2.8 inches display. Size does matter nowadays: more and more we watch movies and view pictures using our phones and other portable devices. Sometimes it is crucial to have a big screen even if it involves increasing the size of the device. This means that you are going to have a bigger gadget.

The resolution of the screen is a very important feature that a smartphone needs to have because most of them have screen keyboards and it wouldn't be so cool to type when you have tiny buttons displayed. iPhone's display's resolution is 480 x 320 pixels and it is very awesome for a phone. The resolution of the Samsung's F700 screen is not much smaller and it is 440 x 240 pixels, besides it has a smaller screen.

Having a touchscreen on your phone is cool and convenient. These two companies have different solutions for their touchscreens. iPhone has the touchscreen with Multitouch function and Samsung screen has the Drag and Drop function.

See what is more suitable to you. I think that a bigger display would win the battle.

Connectivity

There is nothing much to say about it we just need to list you the features the phones have. iPhone works with Quad-Band GSM (850, 900, 1800, 1900), it has EDGE, 802.11 b/g, and Bluetooth 2.0. As opposed to Samsung F700 it has Bluetooth and it is an advantage, we think.

Samsung F700 differs from iPhone with: Tri-Band GSM, 7.2 Mb/s HSDPA, and it has also EDGE. It does not say anything about Bluetooth; maybe it does not have it. It is not a good thing because it is one of the best ways to connect to other devices.

They both have Full HTML browsers so you will be able to get online easy and fast.

Keyboard

There are many discussions about the keyboards and which one is better. iPhone has a bigger display and it has an On-screen keyboard and has no real keyboard. On one hand it is more convenient to use a real QWERTY keyboard then the one that fits on a display and this is the advantage of Samsung F700 keyboard. However, on the other hand the number of buttons is limited if you have a real keyboard, as opposed to programmable keyboard of iPhone. So there are two sides of the coin in this case.

Camera

We do not doubt that Cameras and video capturing is very good on these phones however iPhone has done one not very good thing. They used 2.0 MP camera in their phone as opposed to 5 MP camera of Samsung F700. See for yourself 5 MP or 2 MP this is obvious that Samsung's camera is better. Besides, Samsung was always making good cameras and good software to use them. It does not mean that iPhone has a bad camera but it is not as good.

Codec Support

Why are you buying a smart-phone? Of course you want to have good multimedia functions built in. And it is a matter of how many file types you can open, run or use with help of you smart-phone. iPhone has all the standard iPod files support and it does not differ from a video iPod in this case. However, Samsung can beat iPhone here because it supports more file formats: MPEG 4, H.263, H.264, Real MP3, AAC+, eAAC+ and photos.

Storage

A lot of storage space, that is what we all want to have. And there are also some differences and advantages of one gadget towards another. First of all iPhone has a drive for 4 GB or 8 GB and you choose what you want. It is pretty much space however, there are no expansion slots in it. So you will not be able to expand your storage space.

On the other hand Samsung F700 has micro SD expansion slot, but there is no information about the onboard memory so we cannot say anything about that. I think that it is more convenient to be able to use a memory stick but you have to pay additional money to buy it.

Both smart phones deserve to be called one of the best ones.

iPhone has advantages and beats its opponent with size and resolution of the screen, storage, google maps, push email, HTML Email, and of course it is still iPod.

However there are some cool things about Samsung F700: Better camera (5 MP), it supports more formats than iPhone, it has actual keyboard, and it has 3G connectivity.

Camera that shoots in 3D

For centuries, people were able to picture only a two-dimensional image when taking photo. Even today, the most expensive and powerful cameras still give us a clear and beautiful, but flat image. We can't feel the depth in them, can't say how far the objects are from the camera. People tried to bring the stereo effect to photography in many ways, from a stereo slides to 3D glasses, but it always required image to be taken with two lenses. However, something that thought to be impossible before, now is one step closer from being real - Stanford University engineers have made a lens system capable of capturing the distance of subjects within a snapshot!

The whole system works differently from usual sensors work. Instead of having one lens for a whole sensor, it captures image in parts. Each part is a 16 x 16 pixel sensor with its own lens to view the world - thanks to that this system is called multi-aperture. Every lens gives to this mini-sensor a different picture than to others, which makes a final image composed of many small images which overlap slightly with that of the neighboring ones. Special hardware is capable of calculating the "depth map" according to the data captured by this sensor. This distance data is a result of work of special image-processing software, which analyzes slight differences between the positions of the same elements on neighbor sub arrays.

All this improvements not only can show a distance for each pixel, this technology can be used for making stereo images in future. It also reduces digital noise at the photos, makes the sensor more adaptive to shooting conditions and raises the overall quality of the final image. Researchers say that they see the future usage of this type of sensors even in the portable gadgets like cell phones, PDAs and other camera-enabled devices, because with this technology the sensors with small sizes, used in portable devices, will suffer less quality loss than they are suffering now.

Right now, the researchers have no specific file format for this data, but they say that this depth information can be written in the JPEG metadata. Unfortunately, this revolutionary idea has its flaws. First, it consumes ten times more power than usual sensor does, which is a very serious problem for portable devices. Second, necessity of using a small lens system for each sub array means that these sensors are more expensive to produce. And third, depth field calculation is possible only with subjects that have some texture and other small details. If you picture a smooth white wall, this information cannot be analyzed and calculated. However, this technology is developing fast, and if all this flaws will be corrected, it can be a new word in the world of digital photography.

Sun power for extra talk time

Nowadays many people clearly understanding that all the major natural resources are very limited started to pay even more attention to the energy they use. Moreover some of them worry about their impact on the environment. As a consequence we try to use different alternative energy sources. It's obvious that the easiest "green" power source which can be incorporated into many gadgets is that of the sun. Some practical solar designs for recharging phones have been already produced, however, the latest product from Strap-Ya looks much worthier.

This concept represents a solar panel that looks like a simple trinket. Yet it's designed to prolong your cell phone's work time. Despite the fact that the solar panel will not directly charge your cell phone, it will charge a small battery booster that can give your phone up to 25 minutes of extra life. It should be emphasized that this gadget is not supposed to be used for a full charge because you will need to wait between 6-10 hours of fair sun rays to do so. But it can help you a little bit in case of emergency. Besides that due to its small design it won't occupy a lot of space, so you can let it hang out of your pocket.

The gadget has recently appeared in Japan. So in case you really need the spare power for your cell phone and like small useful things, you will be able to buy it soon.

Shelf with speakers

It seems that the trend these days is to combine absolutely different objects and devices trying not just to create something even more functional and useful, but to save the space as well. That's why some designers have recently started to incorporate speakers directly into furniture and fixtures. Jean Louis Frechin's new concept is a good example for this.

Designed gadget disguises computer speakers as shelf supports. The unit is described as "a shelf connected to a computer that doubles as a device for audio diffusion and archiving digital music files (MP3)"—but further details are scarce and the exact nature of the connection is unknown. It appears to be wireless, which would certainly be necessary for a wall fixture of this type. The design of the device is awesome, so it can help you a great deal to maintain high tech style of your room. Nothing said about the power of these speakers but it seems to be quite an ordinary one. The fact that it's impossible to place the speakers somewhere else (outside, for example), as they are attached to the wall, can be regarded as a small disadvantage.

Thus I think that this gadget represents quite a decent marketable concept. So those people, who love high tech things, hate wires and like seeing a lot of free space on their desktops will love it for sure.

Some retro and nature in the cell phones

It's not hard to see that nowadays there is a marked trend of making all the things slim and sleek, metal and glass. However due to this fact all modern devices have something common in their design, and, as a consequence, people get bored with them even faster. Maybe it would be better not to forget completely the retro styling of yesteryear?

Designer Seungchan Lee thinks that a well-designed device has to combine both retro styling and a piece of nature as well. In his opinion something organic should make its way into our hyper-tech designs. His gadget CulArt (pronounces Cool Art) represents a modern cell phone that internally has all the typical characteristics of a usual smartphone. At the same time its physical design differs greatly from that of its counterparts. First of all there is a wood paneling - a piece of nature of the design that helps to create a perception of the retro style. In case you flip the phone around you will find a rocky textured surface which prevents slippage. Besides that the included Bluetooth headset/remote control uses a series of knobs to control the phone's most basic functions.

Thus, all the mentioned features of this gadget help to conclude that it is quite a useful and stylish device. In spite of this these features are not enough to consider it as a really original one because there is nothing significant that distinguish this cell phone from the others.

Spice gun

Even people who like cooking sometimes encounter such a situation when the process itself seems to be pretty boring. But as you know you should be at least in a satisfactory mood to prepare a decent meal. To help you solve this problem Chinese designer Zhu Fei invented a very strange gun.

His gadget is a spice gun that helps you make the process of cooking funnier and more interesting. Thus, this gun fires with special bullets that are filled with spice. Using an air bag that compresses when the trigger is pressed, the Spice Gun allows for the bottom of the seasoning bottle to be hit by the handspike, blasting seasoning all over your food. Moreover there is a small button designed to change the bullet. So in case you need a certain "bullet" just push the button. In addition to that the gadget has very original design and does not look like a real gun at all.

Unfortunately additional details on the Spice Gun are scarce. Furthermore, it's still a concept and there is no such a real product yet. But in case this gun is produced in the near future,it will be in demand.

More than simple watch - Ultimate Gadget

Just think how many things we should take with us everyday - cell phone, watch, mp3-player and etc. Moreover we should always keep in mind what exactly we want to take and even when everything is with us there is a need to be careful not to lose something. Because of this all companies, which produce different devices, try to make "all-in-one" gadgets. As a consequence all modern devices, especially cell phones, are supplied with clock, organizer, mp3-player and so on.

Think Geek Company, trying to combine as many functions as it possible in a single device, designed video-watch with OLED display. Thus, this gadget is able to show time, photos, videos and even eBooks. So instead of "boring" time you can listen to music for example. Built-in microphone allows you to record whatever you want.

Actually this watch has a lot of characteristics that are mentioned below:

  • Memory: built-in, 2Gb
  • Display's resolution: 128x128 pixels
  • Mp3-player

So, this gadget features quite a significant number of functions that make it enough competitive among modern hi-end devices. But, in case data is true and the price is just about $ 100, demand for this watch will be quite big.

pen as cellphone

pen as cellphoneWe at gadgetcool love cool gadgets, especially when they are compact and are not what they seem to be.

Take this pen for example, looks like an ordinary pen, right? Think again, this pen is actually a cellphone.

This gadget is still in concept stage, which means it doesn't exist yet. But here are some details: the pen is designed to connect with Bluetooth headsets, it will have a USB connector, a microSD slot, a mono LCD screen to show numbers and any other information you expect to be on a cellphone.

Numbers are dialed with a touch interface number system, which is etched into the pen itself. The USB connector also doubles as a control wheel to scroll through address books and call navigation.

The pen acts as an antenna, as it's nine inches long. And guess what, the pen actually writes!

We really like this design, and remember, , if you have to write down a phonenumber someone gives you, wouldn't it be silly to ask to borrow a pen, when there's one in your ear?
